PAULA ROJAS
Hi, I'm Paula — artist and spatial designer. I make drawings, paintings, murals, and spatial concepts, exploring how we perceive and inhabit change.
My work lives in the spaces between experience, movement, time, and questions. I'm drawn to what emerges when we pause and stop trying to be someone.

Freedom Doesn’t Create Clarity
Motivation is everywhere today. You can watch a YouTube video, read a book, or listen to a podcast and feel completely inspired to change your life. And yet many people still find themselves asking a very simple question:
What do I actually do next?
We are surrounded by ideas, advice, and frameworks. But translating those ideas into real action is often much harder than it looks.
After leaving my job, I suddenly had something I thought I wanted: time. Time to think, time to create, time to explore what might come next.
But something unexpected happened.
Instead of clarity, I experienced a kind of quiet confusion. I had ideas, interests, possibilities, but no clear structure for moving forward. I realized something surprising: freedom alone doesn’t create clarity. In fact, sometimes it does the opposite.
What I began to notice is that the problem isn’t usually a lack of motivation. People are often very motivated. They read, learn, reflect, and imagine new possibilities. The difficulty appears in the next step. The real challenge is translating motivation into something concrete: a decision, a small commitment, an action that actually happens in the real world.
I started thinking about this as applied motivation — the moment when intention becomes behavior.
That question continues to shape the work I’m building now.
