Close Mountains We Carry

These photographs are not postcards.
They are invitations — glimpses of what stayed with me,
textures of stone, mist, and distance.

Standing there, I felt small.
The mountains asked me to slow down,
to see beyond the surface.

In my work, people tend to appear as whispers —
small against the vastness,
folded into the terrain itself.
These mountains stayed with me longer than the view.
They became openings,
reminders of stillness, scale, and presence:
things I hold in my practice.
